Studs and Dams

We here at Lionhert K9 are extreamly pleased with our breeding stock. We specialize in "Giant" or "Super Sized" German Shepherd dogs. These dogs are pure of breed and are UKC Registered. The combinations that we have put together produce a large, sound dog that will love and protect it's family without being hesitent with children. We keep our prices reasonable so that everyone will have an oppertunity to enjoy the kind of dog we produce. We have straight family stock and we also have working lines.

Boogie is our foundation stud at 128lbs. We retired him in the Spring of 2005 and he now is a child's pet. Boogie threw some tremendous pups in 2005 and we will miss him.

We at Lionheartk9 are breeding our dogs for size, soundness, temperment and trainability. "Booginstein Bear" works with autistic children, and in this capasity he is required to allow children of all ages to handle him without insident. "Boogie" is very soft with kids and he is also used daily as an example dog in our canine training courses. "Boogie" is an excellent herding dog and he retrieves. He throws himself in both male and female pups, all of them have been just magnificent!

For the 2006 season, we will be useing 2 beautiful males out of Boogie. Both have prelimbed good on hips and elbows. The first is "Kermitt the Dog". At 102lbs at just a year, "Kerme" is magnificent and still growing! We thought that "Boogie" had it all until "Kermitt"! "Kermitt" will be titled in tracking and personal protection. "Kermitt" has that same wonderful temperament that his father has. He is a kid dog from the word go and he has the brains and intelligence that any handler would die for.

"Booginstein Bear"

Next is our beautiful Black and Red male "Ted E Bear". Ted is a handsome example of German Shepherd Dog. He is intelligent and soft. "Ted" will be bred back to a West German female, "Armonie", for the Spring of 2006.

He will throw show stock.

We have only two dams used for breeding here at Lionheatk9! Dams are only bred on alternate years and are only bred for three cycles. This ensures that the dams are in peek condition prior to breeding, thus producing strong healthy puppies. Pictured below is our dam "Shadow".

"Shadow" is highly intuitive and intelligent! She is the dog we use when evaluating dogs that have become involved in litigation. This is a very dangerous job for her, as she is not allowed to retaliate any aggression shown towards her or myself as her handler. "Shadow" is also used as a herding dog. Here she is required to help move larger livestock from on place to another on the farm and she also pulls the hay wagons. "Shadow" is a real asset to our training facility!

"Shadow" is our signature dam. She has size at 98 lbs. and she carries the same heavy bone that our stud does. "Shadow" is extreamly intelligent, and has a high predisposition towards problem-solving. "There is no pulling the wool over her eyes!"

"Armonie" is anexceptional Black and Tan 90 lbs.

Our next dam is a beautiful, traditional saddle back, Tan and Black "Armonie". "Armonie" comes out of our own foundation stock with strong working lines. She is the protector of the facility. "Armonie" is equal to "Max" in her intelligence and intuition! "Armonie" is exceptional with children and awsome on the training field. She has great courage and throws this in her pups. "Armonie's" pups always make great compitition and show dogs. "Armonie" is also used for tracking. She can track humans and animals and is very commited to her job! She is an excellent all around shepherd.
